Changan Automobile: Changan Golden Bell Full-Solid-State Battery Expected to Launch Functional Prototype by Year-End

On February 27th, Changan Automobile revealed during an institutional research visit that the company's Golden Bell full-solid-state battery is anticipated to debut in a functional prototype vehicle by the end of this year. The plan is to conduct vehicle validation with solid-state batteries in 2026 and gradually ramp up mass production of full-solid-state batteries in 2027.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Officially Launches

On February 27th, Xiaomi's SU7 Ultra officially hit the market with a price tag of RMB 529,900 ($74,000), a significant reduction of RMB 285,000 from the pre-sale price of RMB 814,900. The new model is equipped with Xiaomi's self-developed and self-manufactured super three-motor system, achieving a 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 1.98 seconds and boasting a maximum horsepower of 1548. The vehicle's top speed is designed to reach 359km/h. In terms of intelligent driving, Xiaomi's HAD end-to-end full-scene intelligent driving system has been fully rolled out and is pre-installed in the SU7 Ultra. On the same evening, Xiaomi Auto announced via Weibo that within 10 minutes of the official launch, the SU7 Ultra had already received over 6,900 orders.

Baidu and CATL Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

Recently, Baidu and CATL officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Fujian. The collaboration will focus on two core areas: "digital intelligence" and "autonomous driving," promoting the application and popularization of AI in industry as well as the widespread adoption of autonomous driving mobility services. In the realm of autonomous driving, the two parties will concentrate on the development and application of CATL's power batteries, battery swap products and services, and skateboard chassis technology in unmanned vehicle products, jointly exploring the creation of competitively leading unmanned vehicles and innovative business models.
