Geely Targets 3M Annual Sales with Five New H2 2025 Models  

Geely Auto Group CEO Gan Jiayue announced plans to launch five new hybrid models during H2 2025—including the Zeekr 9X, Lynk & Co 10 EM-P, Galaxy A7, and Galaxy M9—while addressing the mid-year operational conference on July 30. This product offensive aims to achieve Geely’s annual sales target of 3 million vehicles.

XPeng’s He Xiaopeng Confirms Redesigned P7 Luxury Coupe Debut on August 6  

XPeng Motors Chairman He Xiaopeng revealed via Weibo that the fully redesigned P7 electric coupe will premiere in China on August 6. Described as a "stylish luxury coupe," the model undergoes its first comprehensive redesign since the original P7’s 2020 launch.  

Changan’s Zhu Huarong Discloses RMB 200B Decadal Investment Plan for NEVs  

Zhu Huarong, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Changan Automobile Group, announced a RMB 200 billion (≈USD 27.8 billion) investment strategy for new automotive technologies over the next decade on July 30. This follows H1 2025 revenue of RMB 146.9 billion and 1.355 million vehicle sales. The roadmap includes launching 50+ global NEV models within five years—seven targeting 300,000-unit annual volumes—while expanding R&D teams by 10,000 specialists to accelerate technology commercialization. Full-year targets remain 3 million sales (1 million NEVs) and RMB 355 billion revenue.  

Li Auto i8 EV SUV Launches from RMB 321,800; VLA Driver AI Rolls Out August 20  

Li Auto has launched its first pure-electric SUV, the i8, in three variants priced at RMB 321,800, RMB 349,800, and RMB 369,800 (≈USD 44,700, 48,600, 51,400). Standard lidar enables full-scenario NOA, while the proprietary VLA (Vision-Language-Action) Driver AI model deploys to vehicles from August 20—simultaneously upgrading all AD Max-equipped models (Thor-U/Orin-X platforms). The i8 supports 5C ultra-fast charging through Li Auto’s 3,000 operational stations (16,000 chargers nationwide).
