XPENG held a pre-sale launch for its 2025 version of X9 MPV on April 8th. According to the event, the X9 2025 version will sell at a starting price of RMB 399,800 (USD 54,100*), up 40,000 yuan from the current model’s entry trim RMB 359,800 (USD 48,700*). The brand new car is displayed in 500+ stores across 214 cities in China.
Key Upgrades and Features
According to the company, the XPENG X9 2025 boasts 496 component upgrades. The CEO He Xiaopeng revealed several features upgraded address owners’ feedback, such as satisfying users by offering both zero-gravity seats and central aisle, investing 50 million yuan (USD 6.77 million*) in NVH, including acoustic glass and chassis dampers.
It is worth mentioning that the X9 2025 will have a great upgrade on intelligence and AI features:
- Turing AI ADAS is standard for all trims
- An AI-Driven Chassis is capable of optimizing the suspension performance for a more comfort drive, on all road conditions.
- XPENG allows existing users pay for all the upgrades through OTA.
The comfort features include:
- Zero-gravity seats, 21.4-inch eye-care screen, in-seat massage.
- 26.6㎡ soft-trim cabin, 10.8L fridge, soft-close doors.
Strategic Importance
XPENG is pursuing profit within 2025, the X9 is quite important in two ways. Firstly, as the priciest model under XPENG, the X9 is a symbol in the premium luxury market. Secondly, XPENG aims to increase gross profit margin by boosting the sales and reducing tech-driven cost, X9, accounted for 10.5% of XPENG’s 2024 sales, is pivotal.
