Avatr 012 Global Limited Edition Debuts at $107,692  

March 25 — Avatr’s 012 Global Limited Edition, co-designed with Dior and Fendi artistic director Kim Jones, launched today at RMB 700,000 (USD 107,692*), limited to 700 units worldwide. The model features liquid silver paint, 21-inch forged mirror wheels, and bespoke B-pillar emblems. Powered by Huawei’s DriveONE dual-motor system (402 kW, 687 N•m), it sprints 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. The CATL Qilin battery enables a 650 km CLTC range and 80% charge in 10 minutes at 480 kW peak power.  

Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën Launches NEV Brand “HEDMOS”  

March 25 — Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën (DPCA) unveiled its new NEV brand HEDMOS (“HEAD + MOST”), symbolized by a compass-inspired logo. The debut model, HEDMOS 06, targets the RMB 100,000–150,000 (USD 15,385–23,077*) compact electric SUV segment, with deliveries starting in May.  

Geely’s Li Shufu Vows to Expand Shanghai R&D in Smart Mobility  

March 25 — At the Shanghai Global Investment Promotion Summit, Geely Holding Chairman Li Shufu pledged to deepen investments in Shanghai’s NEV, smart connectivity, and methanol-hydrogen ecosystems. Geely’s Shanghai operations, already generating over RMB 70 billion (USD 10.77 billion*) in 2024 revenue, employ 8,000 staff and host 10+ projects.  

Sichuan Surpasses 819,700 EV Chargers by End-2024  

March 25 — Sichuan Province reported 819,700 operational EV chargers as of December 2024, a 124.14% YoY surge, with total charging capacity reaching 12.21 GW. The province is on track to exceed its 2025 target of 860,000 chargers and 13 GW capacity outlined in its 2024–2030 infrastructure plan.
