Changan Officially Unveils Transformable Qiyuan E07

On October 21, Changan officially unveiled its Nevo E07 ( or Qiyuan E07). The new model offers 7 variants priced between 199,900 and 319,900 yuan with both range-extended and pure electric powertrains.

Qiyuan E07: A Practical Transformable Vehicle

The Qiyuan E07 distinguishes itself with its position as a multi-purpose vehicle, which means the car can be transformed into a sedan, an SUV or a pick-up. The car adopts an adjustable suspension system, which can lower the ground clearance to 127mm to meet a sedan standards, or raise the ground clearance to 227mm to make sure the car can go through a fording depth of 600mm. The most highlighted feature about the car is that it can be transformed into a pick-up by sliding back the dome, showing its huge cargo box with a load capacity of 300kg, suitable for shopping, camping, and even moving house.

Advanced Intelligent Configurations

The intelligent configurations of the Qiyuan E07 is also noteworthy. In the front row, the car is equipped with a 15.4-inch rotating sunflower screen and, a 12.8-inch entertainment screen for the passenger. The inner cabin smart chip is the Qualcomm 8155.

With the help of 11 high-definition cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and an NVIDIA Orin-X smart driving chip with a computing power of up to 254Tops, the Qiyuan E07 offers an advanced intelligent driving assistance system self-developed by Changan. The car can achieve high-speed piloting, automatic parking, and valet parking.

Robust Powertrain Options

In the term of powertrain, the Qiyuan E07 offers both range-extended and pure electric powertrains, with both single-motor and dual-motor version options.

For the BEV variants, the car boosts a maximum power of 440 kW, offers a CLTC range of up to 701km, and can achieve 0-100km acceleration of 3.61 seconds.

For the EREV variants, the car boosts a maximum power of 362 kW, offers a combined CLTC range of up to 1190km, and can achieve 0-100km acceleration of 5.15 seconds.

Besides, the BEV variants feature an 800V high-voltage platform. The fast charging system can add a range of 365km to the car in just 15 minutes.

Competitive Market Segment

The 200,000 to 300,000 yuan segment in China auto market, there are lots of options such as the AITO M7, Li Auto L6, and Zeekr 001, whether Qiyuan E07 will out-beat the competitors and win the favor of consumers favor remains to be seen.
