Chery Achieves Record Growth in 2024

Today, we will look through another important carmaker of China —— the Chery Group. In 2024, Chery achieved an annual sales volume of 2.6039 million units for the first time, marking a 38.4% year-on-year increase.

Except for that, Chery saw the growth of sales on both fuel vehicles and the new energy vehicles. Chery sold 2.02 million fuel vehicles in 2024, marking an 18.4% year-on-year increase, and over 580,000 NEVs, increasing 232.7% compare to last year.

Additionally, Chery also maintains its leading position of the No. 1 exporter of Chinese-brand passenger vehicles for 22 consecutive years, with a total exports of exceeding 1.14 million vehicles, gaining a 21.4% year-on-year increase.

Looking at all five brands under Chery, including Chery, Exeed, Jetour, iCAR, and Luxeed, the Chery brand alone sold over 1.6 million vehicles, contributing the most for the group. It also set a historical annual sales record for Chery brand.

Strategic Goals for 2025

Chery announced its 2025 target as well at the beginning of the year. The company will pursue a 10-20% growth on 2025 sales, say 3.07 million vehicles.

Besides, Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Holding, stated in his New Year's message for 2025 that the management team will utilize AI-based large model management tools to better perform in a rapid growing industry environment. Chery will focus on enhancing its manufacturing efficiency, increasing vehicle quality, reducing cost and improving delivery. Thus, the company will ensure to achieve double-digit growth in sales, volume, and profits in 2025.
