Chery: All-solid-state Batteries for Mass Production by 2027

Gao Xinhua, Chery Automobile's Executive Vice General Manager, debuted Chery's exclusive battery brand for its users—the Kunpeng Battery at the Chery Global Innovation Conference 2024. The Kunpeng Battery includes three major product types: square phosphate iron lithium series, square ternary series, and large cylindrical ternary series. In addition, Chery is developing all-solid-state batteries with an EV range of over 1500 kilometers. The Chery solid-state battery will be put into directed operations in 2026 and is expected to enter the market in bulk in 2027.

Changan Releases New BlueCore 3.0

On October 18, Changan unveiled its New BlueCore 3.0, along with the launch of three new models equipped with the New BlueCore 3.0 technology: the Changan Qiyuan A07, Qiyuan A05, and Qiyuan Q05. The prices are ranging from 78,900 to 159,900 yuan. As planned, the New BlueCore 3.0 software will be provided to users of various Changan models through various OTA updates. The already launched Changan UNI-ZiDD is set to receive an OTA upgrade within the year.

BYD Seal 06GT Hits the Market, Starting at 136,800 Yuan

On October 18, the BYD Seal 06GT was officially launched with a price range of 136,800 to 186,800 yuan. The new model is built on BYD's e-platform 3.0 Evo and is equipped with over 13 globally pioneering technologies from BYD, including the CTB whole vehicle safety architecture technology cluster and the DiPilot intelligent driving assistant system. In addition, the Seal 06GT features an 800V high-voltage platform and leading technologies such as intelligent current-raising fast charging and intelligent end fast charging. It can charge from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes, and from 80% to 100% in only 18 minutes.
