Chinese EV Startups Hit Record Deliveries in August
Recently, major Chinese EV startups reported robust August delivery figures, with Leapmotor, XPeng, and NIO achieving all-time highs. Leapmotor led with 57,066 vehicles (up 88% YoY), followed by XPeng at 37,709 (168.66% YoY growth) and NIO at 31,305 (55.16% YoY increase). While, Li Auto continued its downward trend with 28,529 deliveries (40.72% YoY decline).
BYD Maintains Steady August NEV Sales at 373,600 Units
BYD recorded 373,600 new energy vehicle sales in August, nearly flat compared to 373,100 units in the same period last year. January-August cumulative sales reached 2.864 million units, reflecting 23% year-on-year growth. The company exported 80,813 NEVs in August, reinforcing its global expansion strategy across key markets including Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
Changan Auto Posts 25% Sales Growth in August
Changan Automobile reported August sales of 233,900 vehicles, a 25% year-on-year increase, while production rose 23.1% to 217,263 units. Cumulative January-August sales reached 1.799 million units, up 6.38% from 2024.
Seres Group Reports 19.57% NEV Sales Growth in August
Seres Group announced August new energy vehicle production of 43,069 units (up 19.38% YoY) and sales of 43,262 units (19.57% YoY growth).
