GEVA Survey: 92% of EV Drivers Pledge to Stick with Zero-Emission Vehicles
Recently, the Global EV Drivers Alliance (GEVA) has released the results of an inaugural global survey on EV drivers indicating that 92% of the EV drivers prefer EVs in the future, while only 1% drivers would like to buy gasoline vehicles, 4% prefer PHEVs.
The survey was conducted among over 23,000 participants from 18 countries and regions all around the world. The remarkable results shows that drivers love the EV driving experience.
Cost Savings Drive EV Adoption
According to the survey, there are some positive feedback on the reason why people are preferring to EVs.
The lower operation costs became the primary motivation for buying an EV, environmental benefits came as the second most important motivation.
The Need for Improved Charging Infrastructure
In the aspect of areas need to be improved, the survey conveyed the concern of improving the charging infrastructures from the drives, especially the short of fast chargers.
The convenience of the charging infrastructure remains a big problem around the world. Christian Peter, Director of EMC ElektroMobilitätsClub of Austria indicated that user-friendly charging solutions is crucial for the growth of the EV market.
