SAIC Motor Reports September Sales of 440,000 Vehicles  


On October 8, SAIC Motor released its production and sales report, revealing September sales of 440,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 40.4% and a month-on-month growth of 21%. The automaker has now extended its year-on-year growth streak to nine consecutive months in 2025. Cumulative wholesale vehicle sales from January to September reached 3.193 million units, up 20.5% year-on-year, while retail sales totaled 3.378 million units. Sales of SAIC’s self-owned brands surged 50.4% to 294,000 vehicles, while new energy vehicle (NEV) sales approached 190,000 units, climbing 46.5% YoY. Overseas sales reached 101,000 vehicles, reflecting a 12.2% YoY increase.



Seres Group Announces 19.44% Rise in September NEV Sales  


Seres Group disclosed on October 8 that its new energy vehicle sales for September 2025 reached 44,700 units, marking a year-on-year increase of 19.44%. From January to September, the automaker cumulatively sold 304,600 veichles.



BYD's September NEV Sales Reach 396,300 Units  


BYD reported September 2025 sales of 396,300 new energy vehicles on October 8, representing a year-on-year decrease of 5.52%. During the same period, the company exported 71,256 NEVs. The installed capacity of its power and energy storage batteries stood at approximately 23.2 GWh in September, bringing the cumulative total for 2025 to about 203.251 GWh.



SAIC Volkswagen Upgrades 2026 Pro Family with High-Speed NOA  


On September 29, SAIC Volkswagen launched the 2026 model year of its “Pro Family,” with the Passat Pro 2026 starting at a fixed price of RMB 169,900 (approx. USD 23,900), the Tiguan L Pro 2026 from RMB 192,900 (approx. USD 27,200), and the Teramont Pro 2026 from RMB 259,900 (approx. USD 36,600). Developed with ZYT, the enhanced IQ.Pilot driver-assistance system now features end-to-end high-speed NOA, enabling automated lane-changing, recommended overtaking, obstacle avoidance, and autonomous ramp navigation. In collaboration with Baidu, the models integrate the Ernie Bot + DeepSeek dual AI models, empowering the voice assistant with full-scene interaction capabilities—including multi-intent recognition, smart voice control, and continuous dialogue for more precise and efficient responses.



ZEEKR 9X Launched with Starting Price of USD 65,600  


ZEEKR introduced the 9X on September 29, offering Max, Ultra, Hyper, and Black Edition variants priced from RMB 465,900 (approx. USD 65,600). Positioned as a luxury flagship SUV, the model is built on the SEA architecture and adopts an all-domain 900V hybrid high-voltage system. It delivers a tri-motor output exceeding 1,000 kW and a pure electric range of up to 380 km. The vehicle also features the SEA AI Digital Chassis and the G-Pilot H9 advanced driver-assistance system, highlighting ZEEKR’s latest technological innovations.
