Seres Reports April NEV Sales Up 12.99% amid Production Ramp-Up

Seres Group announced on May 6 that its April 2025 new energy vehicle (NEV) production surged 32.03% YoY to 34,283 units, with sales reaching 31,488 units (+12.99% YoY). The automaker’s namesake Seres-branded models accounted for 27,203 deliveries, up 9.35%, driven by refreshed AITO M7 and M9 SUVs.

XPENG AEROHT’s modular flying car, the Land Aircraft Carrier, garnered 260 paid pre-orders during the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, the company confirmed on May 6. The deposit-backed reservations signal strong consumer interest in the hybrid eVTOL-road vehicle, slated for mass production in 2026. The system features a six-rotor air module detachable from a ground-focused EV base, targeting affluent tech adopters in China’s eastern coastal cities.  



Leapmotor Hits 18,000 Orders during May Holiday, C11 Tops 1,099 Daily

Leapmotor disclosed on May 6 that it received over 18,000 vehicle orders during China’s May 1-5 holiday period, including a single-day high of 3,700 on May 5. The C11 SUV led with 1,099 daily orders. The startup’s aggressive retail expansions—now covering 260 cities—are paying dividends as it prepares to launch the C16 six-seat EV later this month.
