The Li M6 is positioned as an all-electric 5-seat SUV, vying against rivals like the Tesla Model Y, Aito M5, and Xpeng G6, according to the report. Li Auto, known for its Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9 extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), recently launched its first battery electric vehicle (BEV), the Li Mega MPV, on March 1.
Li Auto's strategic roadmap includes the launch of the Li L6 EREV in the second quarter and three all-electric SUVs in the latter half of this year, as disclosed during a February 26 analyst call following the Q4 2023 earnings results. The Li L6 is expected to be priced between RMB 200,000 ($27,780) and RMB 300,000.
The corresponding BEVs will accompany the L-series EREVs, with the Li M7, Li M8, and Li M9 anticipated to debut in the second half of 2024. The Li M6, as per the report, is the electric counterpart of the Li L6.
Li Auto is reportedly optimistic about the Li M6's market performance, setting an ambitious delivery target of 200,000 units in its inaugural year. The company has previously stated its goal to challenge annual sales of 800,000 units in 2024, with monthly sales reaching up to 100,000 units. By bolstering its offerings with both the L-series and M-series products, Li Auto aims to strengthen its position in the rapidly growing BEV segment, capturing a more substantial market share.
