Xiaomi SU7 Attracts Nearly 90,000 Orders Within 24 Hours

It indeed sounds like a major motion that the Xiaomi SU7 model achieved a huge success with 88,898 firm orders within 24 hours of release. Autocango learned that test-drive cars have been made available in 59 stores across 29 cities nationwide, and the order book may already exceed 100,000 units.

The model is made by the state-owned Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co. (BAIC), with the plant in Xiaomi's new factory in Beijing. The annual capacity of this factory is 150,000 units in the first stage and will increase to 300,000 units in the second stage.

The starting price for Xiaomi SU7 is RMB 215,900 (about US $29,900). The highest specification level of Xiaomi SU7 uses a dual-motor four-wheel-drive design, with a total power of 495 kilowatts (about 663 horsepower) and equipped with a 101 kilowatt-hour Qilin battery from CATL, with a cruising range of 800 kilometers. The dimensions of the vehicle are 4997/1963/1440 mm and the wheelbase is 3,000 mm.

Xiaomi SU7 gained a success once after the launch, may due to the trust from users in the Chinese market. Secondly, the personal charm of Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun is also beneficial to stimulate consumers' interest in the product.
