Zeekr, the luxury electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary under Geely Holding Group, has officially filed for approval for its upcoming model, the Zeekr Mix. This new filing indicates that the Zeekr Mix is set to become the second Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) in Zeekr's lineup, following the introduction of the Zeekr 009.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in China recently published the latest batch of models eligible for public comment, including the Zeekr Mix. The public has the opportunity to provide feedback on the new model between March 13 and March 19. This public review is the final significant regulatory step before a vehicle can be authorized for sale in China.
The Zeekr Mix is characterized by its more compact dimensions compared to Zeekr's existing MPV, the 009, which could potentially translate into a more affordable price point. The filing details two versions of the Zeekr Mix: MR6471BEV02 and MR6471BEV04, both featuring a single-motor configuration and produced in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, where Zeekr's headquarters is located.
In terms of specifications, the Zeekr Mix has a length of 4,688 mm, a width of 1,995 mm, and a height of 1,755 mm, with a wheelbase measuring 3,008 mm. In comparison, the current six-seat Zeekr 009 available for purchase boasts larger dimensions with a length of 5,209 mm, a width of 2,024 mm, and a height of 1,848 mm, along with a 3,205 mm wheelbase.
Powering the Zeekr Mix is a 310 kW electric motor supplied by Jidian, a Geely Holding subsidiary. Both versions of the Zeekr Mix utilize lithium ternary batteries sourced from a collaboration between CATL and Geely.
With the Zeekr Mix joining the Zeekr lineup, which already includes models such as the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 009, Zeekr X, and Zeekr 007, the electric automaker continues to expand its offerings in the competitive EV market. The Zeekr 009, introduced on November 1, 2022, marked Zeekr's second model, with deliveries commencing in February 2023.
