Market sources reported on January 12 that Xpeng Aeroht, the flying car subsidiary of XPeng Motors, has appointed banks to prepare for its initial public offering in Hong Kong. J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley are serving as joint sponsors for the share sale. According to insiders, the company has already submitted a confidential application for the listing, with the public debut potentially occurring within this year.
CADA: China's 2025 Used Vehicle Transactions Surpass 20 Million Units, Setting New Record
Data released by the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) on January 13 shows that the national used vehicle market traded 1.8711 million units in December 2025, marking a 7.15% month-on-month increase though a slight 1.53% year-on-year decrease. The transaction value for the month reached RMB 120.672 billion. Notably, the annual transaction volume for 2025 broke through the 20 million unit barrier for the first time, setting a historic record. Cumulative transactions from January to December totaled 20.108 million units, a 2.52% increase year-on-year, representing an additional 493,800 vehicles. The total annual transaction value amounted to RMB 1.28979 trillion (approximately USD 184.3 billion).
