Zeekr to Launch 4-seat Variant of Zeekr 009 MPV

Zeekr, Geely's EV subsidiary, is launching a luxury model of the Zeekr 009 MPV, the Zeekr 009 Guanghui (光辉 in Chinese). On April 19, the new four-seat edition of the Zeekr 009 will be unveiled in a big event at 8 p.m. Beijing time.

The Zeekr 009 Guanghui is more than just a variety in the range. Instead, it has been stressed as the sixth model, a statement that highlights its importance, elevating it above the company's standard new car versions.

Zeekr's lineup now includes the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 007, Zeekr X, and Zeekr 009, as well as the Zeekr 001 FR supercar variant. Previously, the Zeekr 009 was available as a six-seat MPV. The latest model, Zeekr Mix, was recently announced to focus on a new family mobility lifestyle, with its launch date yet to be confirmed. The upcoming Zeekr 009 Guanghui model will feature two seats worth RMB 500,000 each, providing a heightened sense of luxury for passengers.

The new model retains the design of Zeekr 009, which features a forward-facing square shape and a dark front face. The pitch-black vertical bars in the middle complement the grandeur, while chrome trims on the lower front end and sides of the car increase the style quotient.

The Zeekr 009 Guanghui's interior is one of its most appealing features. The car includes entertainment devices and totally isolated driver and passenger cabins, giving rear seat occupants a more personal space experience.

Under the hood, the Guanghui has a dual-motor four-wheel-drive system. The front motor can produce up to 367 horsepower, while the rear motor can generate up to 421 horsepower. This allows the automobile to attain high speeds of up to 230 km/h, a significant increase above the present model's top speed of 190 km/h. The Guanghui is powered by a ternary lithium battery that supports 800V supercharging. It also has superior intelligent driving features.
