The new AITO M7 made its official debut last night at the Harmony Intelligent Driving Autumn Launch Event. The brand-new model has 12 variants available pricing from RMB 279,800 to 379,800 (approx. USD 38,900–52,800). The 12 variants offer extended-range and all-electric powertrains, with five- and six-seat layouts. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on September 26.
Comparing to previous versions (RMB 249,800 and 329,800), the price of the new M7 experienced a moderate price increase, due to its comprehensive upgrades in design, intelligent driving, powertrain endurance, chassis handling, interior space, etc. While, the market response is strong. According to the company, over 30,000 orders were placed within one hour of the launch, and more than 230,000 reservations accumulated during the 19-day pre-sale period.

Exterior
- The new M7 redesigned its front grille with a simpler profile;
- The car introduced new paint (Interstellar Blue and Prairie Green), hidden wipers, and two options of fresh 20-inch wheels.
Smart-driving Hardware and Functions
- A better LiDAR. M7’s intelligent driving system now employs a 192-line LiDAR (up from 126 lines in the previous model), supporting Huawei ADS 3.0/4.0.
- M7 uses a rear solid-state LiDAR and five 4D imaging radars, enabling full-scenario high-level autonomous driving
- New features such as automatic lane changing, ramp navigation, and traffic light recognition.
Powertrain
- The M7 introduced an all-electric variant, which is new to the M7 series. The all-electric variant is built on an 800V high-voltage platform supporting 4C ultra-fast charging. The single-motor RWD variant boost 227 kW, and dual-motor AWD 387 kW.
- The extended-range version is powered by a 1.5T engine, producing 118 kW, and an electric motor generating 392 kW; Besides, the pure-electric range has increased from previous model’s 230 km to 315 km, with a comprehensive range of up to 1,500 km.
Chassis
- The new M7 is equipped with a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link full-aluminum structure, reducing weight by 40% comparing with the previous model.
- Furthermore, Huawei TURING Digital Chassis enhances response speed by 50%.
Market Position and Future Outlook
In 2024, AITO delivered 195,900 units of M7, making it the best-selling new energy model among Chinese NEV start-ups and a leading player in the RMB 300,000-segment family SUV segment. After the launch of the new M7, institutions projected a robust sales spike. Analysts at Guosheng Securities anticipate the SUV will set a new high in Q4 delivery.
