News Flash丨BYD-backed Denza Enters Hong Kong Market with D9 MPV

Recently, in the Hong Kong market BYD-backed Denza made its entry with their flagship model the Denza D9 MPV. A statement was released stating that the expected price would be 668,000 HK dollars (approximately 621,000 RMB), with the formal pricing expected to range from 660,000 to 750,000 HK dollars (approximately 613,000 to 697,000 RMB). Moreover, it will be at the end of June when Denza is planning to open its first flagship store in Hong Kong located at Kowloon Bay Auto Business Circle.

2024 Denza D9 Domestic Pricing

On March 6th, as reported in Autocango’s previous article, 2024 Denza D9 was officially launched and available in both dm-i and pure ellectric versions across eight models. Domestic DM-i model sells for the price of 339,800 – 449,800 yuan while EV pure electric model costs 379,800 – 469,800 yuan respectively.

2024 Denza D9 Upgraded Features

The new car keeps the design from the last generation which has a measurement of 5250/1960/1920mm, and a wheelbase of 3110mm. These are just but some of the add-ons which include Gaming app and Customizable wake-up words for instance. The upgraded vehicle has also changed its touch buttons on the steering into physical buttons.

It is powered by the Xiaoyun plug-in hybrid dedicated 1.5T turbocharged engine on the 2024 Denza D9 DM-i model, whose combined output power is 299kW while combined torque stands at 681N•m.

For the dm-i models, Denza offers pure electric range options of 98km, 180km, and 190km (under NEDC conditions), with a maximum integrated range of 1050km, meanwhile the pure electric models have a CLTC range of 600km and 620km.

Current Denza Lineup

Denza currently sells three models including N7, N8 and D9. However, no launch plan or price has been given regarding N7 as well as N8 for this brand in Hong Kong market.
