The introduction of a new hybrid: BYD's Seal 06 DM-i
BYD's soon-to-be-launched Seal 06 DM-i, a feature-rich hybrid car ready to dominate the market, is a hot topic in the automotive world. The new car, which will make its premiere on May 28th, features cutting-edge characteristics that correspond with BYD's aim to reinventing the wheel in the hybrid technology realm.
Nautical design with a creative twist.
The Seal 06 DM-i extends BYD's marine aesthetic design concept. It has magnificent dual-L-shaped headlamps and a trapezoidal lower grille joined to side vents by black ornamental bits. The vehicle has a sleek side profile, semi-hidden door handles, and stylish five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels. These features work together to improve the horizontal visual of the front face and to create a sporty visual impression at the back.
The inside is futuristic, with a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, a floating 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, and the option of a 12.8-inch or 15.6-inch floating Pad packed with DiLink's intelligent linked system.
Defying boundaries with advanced configurations
The base Seal 06 DM-i model, with an 80 km range, has 17-inch wheels, six airbags, panoramic imagery, cruise control, a VTOL mobile power station, and a 6-way electric driver's seat adjustment. Tire pressure monitoring, dual-zone air conditioning, and rear air outlets are also standard features.
The advanced variant, with a 120-kilometer range, includes a panoramic sunroof, electric folding outside mirrors, and sensor wipers. Buyers may also expect an automated anti-glare interior mirror, an eight-way electric driver's seat, and a four-way electric passenger seat.
Powering the future with DM Hybrid Technology
At the heart of the Seal 06 DM-i is BYD's fifth-generation DM Hybrid technology, which combines a 1.5L engine with an electric motor. This hybrid powertrain has two maximum power options for the motor - 120 kW and 160 kW, respectively, and two Blade battery capacity options.
