SEAL U Dominates UK Hybrid Vehicle Segment
According to BYD, a total of 11,271 cars are sold in the UK in September 2025, in which the SEAL U (the Song Plus DM-I in China) accounted for 5,373 units. According to market data, the SEAL U secured the 6th position in the UK’s Top 10 best-selling vehicle list, and the best-selling hybrid model in the first nine months in the UK.
Expanding Retail Network and Future Product Plans
By the end of September, BYD has already established a sales network of 100 retail stores, with plans to launch more hybrid and BEV models in the months ahead.
BYD’s Momentum Across Europe and Global Sales
The SEAL U’s flexible fuel-electric powertrain attracts British consumers, as well as customers in other European countries. In countries like Spain and Italy, BYD has become the leading NEV brand, posting a strong momentum in the NEV market.
Cumulatively, BYD reported 3.26 million units from January to September 2025 globally, in which overseas sales accounted for 701.6K in the first nine months.
