Changan Automobile presented its highly anticipated second-generation UNI-V iDD on April 25, coinciding with the beginning of the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. The vehicle is available in three variants, with costs ranging from 11.49 to 12.69 million yuan, all of which demonstrate the brand's commitment to providing creative and efficient powertrain solutions.
Enhanced Exterior Design
The second-generation UNI-V iDD shares a common design language with its fuel-powered sibling, with the most noticeable difference being the borderless front grille, which provides an expansive visual appeal. The vehicle's shape changes subtly, refining it and giving it a more elegant appearance.
A futuristic powertrain
The new car boasts a 1.5L four-cylinder engine and a sophisticated dual-drive plug-in hybrid system, delivering plenty of power and performance. It generates 110 horsepower and comes with two electric motor versions of 190 and 215 horsepower. There are two battery options available: 9.07kWh and 18.99kWh, which provide an amazing 50 km and 111 km pure electric range, respectively.
Redefined Interiors and Safety Features
The new car retains the 10.3-inch LCD instrument panel and 10.3-inch central control screen, as well as a sports-style, all-in-one seat. A 360° panoramic camera, lane-departure warning, and front and rear radar are among the many driving aid systems available on this vehicle.
In conclusion, the second-generation Changan UNI-V iDD offers a wide range of features and excellent performance, displaying high competition in its class. The addition of a plug-in hybrid to complement the gasoline version boosts overall competitiveness, giving customers additional options.
