Exeed Unveils 2026 VX SUV with Premium Comfort and Safety Features

Exceed, Chery’s luxury arm, unveiled the 2026 Exeed VX (Pronounced as Lanyue in Chinese), a full-size seven- or seven-seat SUV targeting premium family and commercial use. Two trims are available, Star Glory FWD (6/7-seat) and Flying Fish AWD (6/7-seat) variants, with prices of RMB 189,900 and RMB 209,900 (≈ USD 26,400 - USD 29,200), respectively.

The premium model, born in 2021, delivers comprehensive upgrades on both powertrain and premium configurations, aiming to offer a refined multi-scene mobility experience to the targeted users.  

Spacious Dimensions and Flexible Seating

Measuring 5,010mm long, 1940mm wide, 1800 high, with a 2,900mm wheelbase, the 2026 Exeed VX offers a 901mm second-row legroom and 793mm third-row legroom. The two variants bring about both 6 and 7-seated configurations for option with the same price. When laying down the second-row seats, it transforms the cabin into a flat sleeping space.

Luxurious and Quiet Interior Experience

Premium interior design gives the passengers a comfort and healthier travel, by utilizing Ultra-Touch Cloud-Soft eco-friendly leather for all the seats, and double-glazed front windows for ANC active noise cancellation, turning the cabin into a space as quiet as in a library. Furthermore, the “Bo Ya Zhi Yin” (伯牙之音, in Chinese) AI audio system, Chery co-developed with iFly deploys 23 speakers (1,080W peak) in 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos configuration, creating a concert hall experience.

Safety takes the wheel, the 2026 Exeed VX delivers passive safety measurements including:

- Monocoque body structure with 85% high-strength steel.

- 31% dual-sided galvanized panels.

- B-pillars bears 1,500MPa tensile strength.

- Ultra-large 2,602mm side curtain airbags.

Inside the cabin, the Lion 5.0 smart cabin system, powered by Qualcomm 8155 chip, supports Huawei HiCar 4.0, while the ADAS system utilizes 21 sensors (4 corner radars, 8 SRR/4 LRR ultrasonics, 4x 300MP cameras), capable of Highway Pilot Assist, Lane Change Assist, Memory Parking (HPA), and Automated Parking (APA).  

Powerful and Efficient Powertrain

Under the hood, the car delivers a heart-pounding power and smooth driving experience, by its latest generation 2.0T engine (38% thermal efficiency), paired with an Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission, boosting a maximum of 192kW/400Nm output.
