Recently, FAW-Volkswagen officially put its redesigned Talagon mid-to-large SUV into the market with two variants priced at RMB 269,900 (≈USD 37,500) and RMB 299,900(≈USD41,700). Summarily, the redesigned SUV combines Volkswagen’s fifth-generation EA888 engine with locally developed intelligent systems such as IQ.Pilot, making it a petrol-powered smart car, perfectly addressing the needs of current family buyers.

The Talagon measures 5,143×2,002×1,792mm and 5,168×2,002×1,792mm for two variants, prices listed below. In order to enhance it off-road capability, the model has a higher ground clearance. The exterior was revised with a modern body lines and lightings, aligning with Volkswagen’s design language.

In the cabin, there’s a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 15-inch central display, and an 11.6-inch passenger entertainment screen in front of the front passenger seat.


The smart cabin is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, which supports a voice assistant, co-developed with iFlyTek, enabling continuous conversation with multi-dialect capabilities.
