FAW-VW Launches New Talagon SUV from RMB 269,900  


FAW-Volkswagen has debuted the redesigned Talagon six/seven-seat flagship SUV with direct manufacturer pricing of RMB 269,900 (≈USD 37,500) and RMB 299,900 (≈USD 41,700) respectively. As Volkswagen's largest global SUV, it offers two 450 4MOTION variants (Supreme/Flagship) powered by the fifth-generation EA888 engine delivering 200kW/400N·m. A segment-first achievement includes end-to-end highway NOA capability – making it the industry's initial fuel-powered vehicle with large-model-enabled navigation assistance – supported by twelve ultrasonic sensors and multi-scenario automated parking functionality.  



MG4 EV Pre-Sales Start at RMB 73,800 with Semi-Solid State Option  


SAIC's MG brand has opened pre-sales for the redesigned MG4 EV at RMB 73,800–105,800 (≈USD 10,300–14,700). The hatchback features Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 computing and SAIC's Z-ONE architecture integrated with OPPO ecosystems. Its 6-in-1 electric motor produces 120kW/250N·m, enabling 160km/h top speed. Two LFP battery options (42.8kWh/437km CLTC; 53.9kWh/530km CLTC) are offered, with a semi-solid-state battery variant – enhancing winter range and longevity – scheduled for September pricing and year-end deliveries.  



Li Auto Standardizes i8 Configuration, Lowers Price to RMB 339,800  


Li Auto has unified the i8 electric SUV lineup under the Max trim as standard configuration while reducing its price from RMB 349,800 to RMB 339,800 (≈USD 47,200). All configurations now include a complimentary RMB 10,000 (≈USD 1,400) Platinum Audio System. An optional rear entertainment screen package remains available at RMB 10,000 (≈USD 1,400).
