Foton Motor Debuts New Products, Launches "IECO" Brand

Grand Launch at the Foton Motor Global Partner Conference 2024

On December 4, 2024, the Foton Motor Global Partner Conference was grandly opened at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Over 2,000 auto dealers, automobile supply chain partners gather together witnessed the launch of its first full-domain smart ecosystem brand "IECO", and the grand debut of Foton Scenery i series products, and the new Foton Auman Galaxy heavy truck family - Galaxy 5 and Galaxy T models.

"IECO" Full-Domain Smart Ecosystem Brand

The most important thing on the conference would be the release of the "IECO" Smart Ecosystem Brand. Foton Motor claimed that it is the first full-domain smart ecosystem brand in China's commercial vehicle industry.

"IECO" in Chinese is “爱易科”, whose phonetic translation is i-ECO, representing intelligence and ecological smart ecosystems, representing a brand impression of openness, equality, sharing, green and intelligent technology.

Gong Haidong, Foton Motor Deputy General Manager and spokesperson, introduced that "IECO" consists of two core business segments. We will share with you what they are representing and what technologies they are offering.

According to Foton, the IECO "Intelligent • Ecosystem" focuses on five key areas including energy, leasing, digital intelligence, maintenance and parts, and used cars businesses, aiming yo provide customers with comprehensive and refined service experience.

The IECO "Electric • Drive" will be the key technologies to reshape the R&D ecosystem of the powertrain. Among them, it is worth mentioning the three major modules of batteries, electric control, and electric drive, which form a complete IECO "Electric • Drive" system together.

The company achieves full-stack independent research and development at the software level, enables to integrate domain control + regional control architecture.

-        "IECO • Electric Drive"

In order to ensure efficient and energy-saving motor transmission, Foton creates high-performance electric drive products precisely matching with the needs of logistics transportation scenarios.

-        "IECO • Battery"

The battery has 4-layer protection system that exceeds industry standards for various transportation needs of different ranges, showing advantages of low internal resistance, fast conduction, full temperature range adaptation from 40°C to 65°C, and strong resistance to decay.

At the event, Foton debut its Foton Scenery i series products, which are equipped with IECO "Electric • Drive" modules. Here is the stunning configurations:

-        Skateboard chassis design

-        2C ultra-charging batteries from IECO and CATL Tianxing L commercial vehicle battery

-        Three driving modes

-        Three levels of energy recovery levels

Foton also unveiled the new members from Foton Auman Galaxy heavy truck family, the Galaxy 5 and Galaxy T models.

Galaxy 5

Galaxy 5 features a galaxy mech design, with a passage size of 645mm and an interior height of 1880mm. The vehicle adopts lightweight design, ensuring 350kg lighter than the same configured vehicles in the industry. In terms of power, the vehicle uses super hybrid full-domain matching technology, supporting 8 energy modes and 46 working conditions, enables it to provide best solutions for energy saving in all scenarios.

Galaxy T

Differently, Galaxy T mainly has a reliable, tough, and practical product features. To make sure a stable and efficient driving experience in all terrain conditions, the vehicle is equipped with high-load lightweight suspension, high-reliability strengthened rear axle, and large offset wheels. Besides, comfort is greatly improved on all special application scenarios such as pump trucks, muck trucks, fire trucks, and mining engineering vehicles. With a super-wide bunk, the drivers will also have a comfort experience.
