Geely, a key participant in the Chinese automobile sector, has officially unveiled the Galaxy E5, a compact pure-electric SUV. The car is expected to hit the market in the second quarter of 2024, with a price range of between 150,000 and 200,000 yuan ($20,800 to $27,700).

The Galaxy E5 is projected to have a huge impact on the electric vehicle market due to its unique features and advanced technology.

Sleek Design and Advance Technology

The Galaxy E5 follows Geely's current family design language, with a closed grille typical of new energy cars and slim LED strips that give the vehicle a tech-feel. The new model shares the same design as the Galaxy E8, maintaining brand continuity and awareness.

The E5's side aspect exudes athleticism, thanks to its chrome ornamentation and wide low-resistance hubs. The vehicle's disguised door handles add to its futuristic design and reduce wind resistance. The E5 has dimensions of 4615mm in length, 1901mm in width, and 1670mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2750mm.

The rear perspective of the E5 is visually striking, with a light strip running through the LED lights, which adds to the vehicle's overall individuality.

Impressive power and performance

In terms of power, the E5 is equipped with a drive motor manufactured by Wuxi Xingquan Power Technology Co., Ltd., which has a maximum output of 160 kilowatts. Aside from its tremendous performance, the E5 boasts long battery life and outstanding range.

Strong sales growth

Geely posted outstanding sales figures in April, with a total of 12,725 vehicles sold, representing a 24.94% month-on-month gain. With the debut of the Galaxy E5, we'll see if this increasing trend continues.
