Tank, the unique brand of Great Wall, has formally announced that the 300 Hi4-T model will go on sale in China on April 22. At a competitive price of RMB 269,800 ($37,250), the car is the most reasonably priced model with cutting-edge Hi4-T technology.

The pricing of the Tank 300 Hi4-T model is remarkably 5.6%, or RMB 16,000, less than that of Tank's other Hi4-T equipped model, the Tank 400 Hi4-T. Notable is the way Tank's genealogy started off with only internal combustion engines and then smoothly moved to electrification over the course of the previous two years.

A Monstrous Being on the Roads

With a wheelbase of 2,750 mm and dimensions of 4,760 mm x 1,930 mm x 1,903 mm, this robust off-road SUV is well-built. The car combines an electric motor with a peak torque of 400 Nm and a maximum power of 120 kW with a 2.0 L engine that can produce up to 180 kW of maximum power and 380 Nm of peak torque.

Efficiency and Power Come Together

The maximum torque of 750 Nm is produced at a total output power of 300 kW. With a full charge and fuel, the hybrid's combined range can reach 860 km, with a battery range of 110 km provided by a Li-ion ternary battery pack (37.1 kWh capacity) from Svolt Energy.

Including both NEVs and gasoline-powered cars, the Tank brand sold 17,312 units in total in March, accounting for 18.9 percent of Great Wall Motor's total vehicle sales of 100,276. We look forward to Tank's bright future in the thriving Chinese NEV market.
