XPeng Unveils Redesigned P7 Sedan with 820km Range and 2250 TOPS Compute  

 

XPeng Motors debuted the comprehensively upgraded P7 sedan in China, slated for August market entry. The model achieves 820km CLTC range via a full-domain 800V architecture and 5C ultra-fast charging AI battery, adding 525km range in 10 minutes with industry-leading 12kWh/100km efficiency. Three Turing AI chips deliver 2250 TOPS effective computing power, enabling fully localized operation of Visual Language Assistant (VLA) and Visual Language Model (VLM) for autonomous driving and cockpit functions without cloud dependency.  



CPCA Reports July Retail Sales of 1.834 Million Units with 7% YoY Growth  


The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) announced July 2025 retail sales reached 1.834 million passenger vehicles, reflecting 7% year-on-year growth but a 12% month-on-month decline. Cumulative January-July retail volume totaled 12.736 million units (up 10% YoY). Concurrently, wholesale figures for July hit 2.192 million units (12% YoY increase, 12% MoM decrease), bringing year-to-date wholesale to 15.472 million units (12% YoY growth).  



LUXEED MPV Confirmed for Q1 2026 Launch Under Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance  


Sources familiar with Huawei's automotive strategy confirmed the inaugural Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) MPV will debut under the LUXEED brand in Q1 2026. Development prioritization has resulted in suspension of the Exlantix 08 project to accelerate the MPV's production timeline. The model will offer both pure-electric and extended-range powertrains and utilize Huawei's full-stack intelligent solutions including ADS 4.0 autonomous driving and Harmony Cocktail, targeting premium business and family mobility markets currently dominated by Denza and Buick.  



Shanghai Mandates Development of Embodied Intelligence Core Components  


Shanghai Municipal Government released the "Implementation Plan for Embodied Intelligence Industry Development," prioritizing localized R&D of specialized chips, core motherboards, and critical components. The policy leverages Shanghai's concentration of autonomous computing chip developers, robotics firms, and AI model companies to enhance hardware-software integration. Key initiatives include establishing local production bases for high-value components like joint modules, intelligent sensors, and vision cameras, positioning Shanghai as China's hub for embodied robotics industrialization.
