XPENG, one of China’s NEV startups, announced that its flagship MPV, the X9, has been crowned a champion in Thailand’s pure-electric MPV market for July 2025. He Xiaopeng, the founder and Chairman of the company, revealed that the X9 MPV delivered 199 units in Thailand during the month, making it the top-seller in the pure-electric MPV segment in the local market. Earlier, the X9 just reached 30,000 deliveries worldwide milestone in June.
The 2025 X9 was launched in April, 2025, at the Shanghai Auto Show. The model offers four trims with prices ranging from RMB 359,800 (USD 50,000) - 419,800 (USD 58,000). The extended-range edition is one the way now, the company is planning to launch in Q4 2025.
Innovative Features Define the 2025 X9 Model

AI Smart Chassis: a pre-scan of the road surface can be done by the AI smart chassis, being able to reduce jolts when it passes the same location for the second time.
Active Rear-Wheel Steering: with the world’s only MPV equipped with full-series standard active rear-wheel steering, the car can take a 5.4m turning radius Turing AI automatic parking, four-wheel coordinated steering, and bi-directional intelligent linkage between the front and rear wheels.
Cabin Features: a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel and a 17.3-inch floating central control screen for the front row, while for the rear row, a 21.4-inch 3K resolution entertainment screen is offered with eye protection certification issued by Germany's TÜV Rheinland.

Strengthening International Presence with Southeast Asia Expansion
With an accelerating global expansion, XPENG is facing an increasing sales performance, especially in international markets. Entering into 2025, XPENG has launched various modes in multiple Southeast Asian markets including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Macau, and Hong Kong. XPENG’s first Indonesia factory officially commenced production in July, with its first X9 assembled in Indonesia.
Ambitious Growth Targets for the Future
With an expanding footprint made in H1 2025, XPENG is confident in its global expansion strategy. At the 2025 Global New Energy Vehicle Cooperation and Development Forum in Shanghai held in June, Tang Zhikun, GM of XPENG’s International Business Center, unveiled that XPENG is aiming to enter over 60 countries and more than 300 overseas sales network by the end of 2025. Furthermore, XPENG is eyeing half of XPeng's sales coming from overseas by 2027 with a goal of becoming one of China's top three new energy vehicle exporters.
