World's Largest Ro-Ro Ship Departs with 8,000+ Chinese Cars for Europe  

The "Anji Soundness," the world's largest car carrier with a 9,500-CEU capacity, sailed from Taicang Port on June 13 after loading China-made vehicles. Operated by SAIC Anji Logistics, it surpasses the previous 9,200-CEU record. The vessel will dock at Lianyungang and Yantai, transporting over 8,000 vehicles—including 4,000+ SAIC MG models from Jiading, Shanghai—to European markets on its maiden voyage.  

JAC Group, Huawei Sign Strategic Agreement for Smart Car Solutions  

JAC Group and Huawei formalized a strategic partnership on June 17 to integrate Huawei’s intelligent automotive technologies across JAC’s vehicle platforms. Collaboration areas include ADAS, smart cabins, vehicle control, cloud services, in-car optics, and vehicle communications. The alliance aims to accelerate AI-driven digital transformation in R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales, while expanding cooperation in clean energy infrastructure and green data centers.  

Polestar Secures $200 Million Equity Investment from Geely Founder  

Polestar announced a $200 million private investment (PIPE) from PSD Investment Limited—controlled by Geely Holding founder Li Shufu—on June 16. The transaction involves issuing 190,476,190 Class A ADS shares at $1.05 per share. Funds will bolster Polestar’s electrification roadmap amid intensified global EV competition.
