March 26 — BYD’s Sealion 05 EV, built on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo, debuted with prices from RMB 117,800–137,800 (USD 18,123–21,200*). The rear-wheel-drive SUV comes standard with the God’s Eye ADAS (DiPilot 100) and DiLink 100 smart cockpit, plus female-centric features like magnetic LED vanity mirrors, a dual-mode fridge, and ventilated/heated front seats.  

BYD Targets 5.5M Global Sales in 2025, 30% Growth YoY

March 26 — BYD aims to sell 5.5 million vehicles globally in 2025, up from 4.27 million in 2024, with overseas sales exceeding 800,000 units. The automaker plans to accelerate expansion in Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia, with mass-market autonomous driving tech slated for international markets by 2026–2027.  

Leapmotor Wins FAW’s Hongqi G117 Project; LEAP 3.5 Tech Likely  

March 26 — Leapmotor secured a contract to co-develop FAW’s Hongqi G117 model, likely leveraging its LEAP 3.5 architecture, insiders revealed. The deal follows a March 3 strategic pact between Leapmotor and FAW, though financial terms remain undisclosed.  

NIO, Beijing Future Science City to Build 100 Battery Swap Stations  

March 26 — NIO partnered with Beijing Future Science City Group to construct 100 green energy battery swap stations, starting in Changping District. The collaboration will integrate renewable energy, smart charging, and vehicle-grid synergy to create a “closed-loop” sustainable mobility demo.
