Chery Tiggo 7 Series Launches New Models Globally with Enhanced Features

On November 1st, Chery held the 1 millionth export of the Tiggo 7 ceremony at the Wuhu Port in Anhui province of China. The first generation of Tiggo 7 was launched in 2016, and as a single model, has consecutively ranked first in exports among Chinese brand for three years.

In the evening of that day, Chery officially launched the all-new Tiggo 7 PLUS and Tiggo 7 Max Edition (fuel version), and Tiggo 7 C-DM (hybrid) globally.

Pricing and Offers of the Three Models

The Tiggo 7 PLUS

-        Pricing ranging from 99,900 to 129,900 yuan (approximately $13,950 to $18,140)

The Tiggo 7 High Energy Edition (fuel version)

-        Available in four trims

-        Pricing ranging from 107,900 and 139,900 yuan (approximately $15,070 to $19,540)

The Tiggo 7 C-DM (hybrid)

-        Available in three trims

-        Pricing ranging from 119,900 to 142,900 yuan (approximately $16,750 to $19,960)

Key Enhancements in the New Models

-        Tiggo 7 PLUS

The Tiggo 7 PLUS maintains the overall dimension of the previous model, while creates a refreshed outlook, including a tiger-like front face, dual "L" shaped daytime running lights, a new dot-matrix grille, smooth lines on the side, blackened B, C, and D pillars, showcasing a sense of quality and power

Inside the cabin, the car’s intelligent configurations are upgraded significantly by a 24.6-inch curved dual-screen and the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip with 16GB of memory, which enables the system to start in less than 2 seconds and process more than 20 commands within 30 seconds.

The Tiggo 7 PLUS powertrain: a 1.6TGDI+7DCT/8AT powertrain boosting a maximum power output of 145 kW and a peak torque of 290 Nm.

The front appearance of the two models is said to be similar to the Range Rover Evoque L. The cars have a stylish design featuring a dynamic tiger-like front face, tiger-eye daytime running lights with a digital matrix design, showing a tech-savvy and dynamics sense.

Inside the cabin, the two models adopt a minimalist flying cockpit design, equipped with a 13.2-inch vertical central control screen, a 10.25-inch floating full LCD instrument cluster. The two models also features Chery's latest "Lion" intelligent driving assistance system, providing L2-level autonomous driving capabilities.

Tiggo 7 High Energy Edition (fuel version) powertrain: Kunpeng 1.6GDI+7DCT powertrain, achieving a fuel consumption of 6.98 liters per 100 km under WLTC conditions; a full-scene self-developed intelligent control four-wheel drive system, offering a7 driving modes.

Tiggo 7 C-DM (hybrid) powertrain: 1.5TGDI high-efficiency hybrid-specific engine based on Kunpeng C-DM super hybrid system, producing a combined fuel consumption of 2.6L/100km and a tested range exceeding 1840km.
