China's 2025 Vehicle Exports Projected at 7 Million Units, 10 Million by 2030
At the 2025 Global New Energy Vehicle Cooperation and Development (Shanghai) Forum (GNEV2025) on June 25, Sun Xiaohong, Secretary-General of the Automotive Internationalization Committee at the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), revealed China exported 6.4 million vehicles in 2024. Based on current 10% annual growth trends, Sun projected 2025 exports will reach 7 million units. Sustaining this expansion rate could elevate China's automotive exports to 10 million vehicles annually by 2030, cementing its position as the world's dominant vehicle exporting nation according to customs data analysis.

XPeng Motors has launched its flagship all-electric MPV, the X9, in the Indonesian market on June 26, 2025. China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has pledged to enhance industrial cooperation with Italy during talks between MIIT Chief Engineer Xie Shaofeng and Valentino Valentini, Italy's Deputy Minister of Enterprises and "Made in Italy". Xie affirmed China's commitment to implementing their industrial cooperation memorandum, specifically deepening collaboration in automotive manufacturing, shipbuilding, SME development, and green industrial transformation. China encouraged its enterprises to invest overseas while requesting Italy ensure fair, transparent, open, and non-discriminatory business environments for Chinese companies operating within its jurisdiction, aiming to inject new momentum into Sino-Italian and China-EU relations.
