Denza D9 Becomes First NEV MPV to Hit 250,000 Units

Denza D9 celebrates production milestone of 250,000 MPVs on June 10, becoming the first NEV MPV to achieve this. The 2025 model offers eight trims priced between RMB 339,800 and RMB 469,800.

Denza D9 just celebrated its 250,000th MPV produced on June 10, which is the first NEV MPV achieved this milestone.



2025 Model Specs and Pricing  


The refreshed 2025 edition of the successful D9 lineup was launched in December 2024, providing 8 trims, including 5 PHEV trims and 3 BEV trims, pricing between RMB 339,800 (USD 47,200) and RMB 469,800 (USD 65,300).


The model has standard features across all trim, such as BYD’s "God’s Eye" ADAS with 32 sensors (including one lidar), and the 5th-gen DM plug-in hybrid system. A 1.5T engine (115 kW) paired with electric motors boost 139hp - 156hp power. The AWD trims utilize 200 kW front + 45 kW rear motors, while the FWD a single 200 kW front motor



Market Dominance Timeline  


D9 model made its first debut in 2022, and experiencing several upgrades. The MPV achieved significant performance in sales. The D9 sold 6,000 units in 5 months after launch and exceeded 10,000 units in the 7th month. In 2023 – 2024, D9 took the crown of China’s MPV sales champion. This year, D9 kept its good performance dominating the premium MPV segment leader position during Jan-May period.


Moreover, D9 swept the overseas market as well, especially in SEA. As a premium MPV, D9 set a guide price 40% more in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand. Currently, D9 beat the ever-victorious Toyota Alphard, becoming the sales leader in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand’s luxury MPV segments.
