Pony.ai Teams Up with ComfortDelGro for Autonomous Taxi Rollout

On July 31 , Pony.ai signed memorandum of understanding with ComfotDelGro Corporation .The partnership aims to promote lage-scale commercial operational of autonomous taxi.

Pony.ai , autonomous driving solution provider , has been approved for unmanned driving services ,and their technology has been deployed in Beijing , Shanghai , Guangzhou and  Shenzhen in China, and has also expanded operations overseas such as Korea , Luxembourg , Saudi Arabia.

ComfortDelGro Corporation , the largest taxi operation in Singapore , has more than 29,000 taxis operation net all over the world. They have equipped themselves with abundant operational experience and fleet management capabilities.

According to ComfortDelGro Corporation, partnering with Pony.ai is a strategic step towards its broader growth strategy and building future development capabilities . In 2022, ComfortDelGro invested S$ 30 million to build a brilliant autonomous driving center which is responsible for the operation of unmanned fleets , development of maintenance capability , and they have also built a technology platform for autonomous driving services.

For Pony.ai , this partnership is also the latest achievement in its global strategy. Figures show , Pony.ai has accumulated over 35 million kilometers on their auto pilot , including 3.5 million kilometers of unmanned driving.
