XPENG Introduces G7 Super EREV with Advanced Range-Extended Technology
Recently, XPENG unveiled its first range-extended model, the G7 Super EREV, which is scheduled to be enter the market in Q1 2026.

The exterior of the G7 Super EREV shares the similar design of its pure-electric counterpart, measuring 4918 mm in length, 1925 mm in width, and 1655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2890 mm, and being equipped with a full-width daytime running light strip and split-type headlights on both sides.
Advanced Powertrain System
In terms of powertrain, the G7 super EREV applies a range-extended system comprising a 1.5L engine, boosting a maximum output of 110 kW, and an electric motor producing 218 kW.
XPENG’s Dual-Energy Vehicle Strategy
He Xiaopeng, XPENG CEO, mentioned at the latest Munich Motor Show, that all XPENG models will largely adopt a dual-energy strategy, which means that all models will offer both pure-electric and extended-range variants.
Except for the G7 super EREV, XPENG will launch an extended-range version of the XPENG P7+ in 2026, with 5C AI battery pack and pure electric range of around 400 km, according to industry insiders.
