Four Must-See Hot Models Launch with Advanced Features This Week in China

Four Chinese automakers — Denza, ZEEKR, Avatr, and Arcfox — launched new electric and hybrid models boasting cutting-edge tech, long ranges, and fast acceleration, intensifying competition in China’s EV market.

It was a busy week for carmakers in China. We select four hot models from key players in China, Let’s dive in.


Denza N8L


  • Six-Seat SUV (2+2+2)
  • RMB 299,800 - RMB 329,800


Denza, BYD’s premium sub-brand, officially launched its new N8L large six-seat SUV on October 28. The model offers two trims with prices ranging from RMB 299,800 to RMB 329,800 (approximately USD 42,200–46,500).


Key Features:


- BYD’s e3 intelligent control platform is standard across all trims

- The model utilize a 2.0T hybrid engine with three electric motors.

- The CLTC all-electric range is 230km.

- The comprehensive range reaches 1300km.

- 0-100 km/h acceleration rate: 3.9 seconds.

- The intelligent driving assistant system is BYD’s DiPilot 300 ADAS with LiDAR solution.

- The car will also deploy end-to-end AI model.



Refreshed ZEEKR 7X


  • Five-Seat all-electric SUV
  • RMB 229,800 – RMB 269,800  


ZEEKR, Geely’s premium new energy arm, launched the refreshed 7X on October 28. The refreshed model offers three variants, the 75kWh RWD Max, the 103kWh RWD Max, and the 103kWh AWD Ultra.


Key Features:


- All versions are upgraded to 900V architecture, alongside standard 5.5C/6C ultra-fast charging capability.

- CLTC range reaches 800km.

- The Ultra version has a 0-100 km/h acceleration rate of 2.98s.

- The model is armed with LiDAR standard across all trims.

- Due to the intelligent driving system, the model utilize G-Pilot H7 solution, with the help of the Thor-U ADAS chip delivering 700 TOPS, standard across all trims.



Avatr 12 Four-LiDAR Edition


  • Four-Seat all-electric Sedan

Avatr, backed by Changan Auto, Huawei and CATL, put its Avatr 12 Four-LiDAR Edition into the market recently. The model offers both pure electric and extended-range powertrains across six trims.


Key Features:


- The key highlights of the model will be the four-LiDAR systems (standard across all trims) supported by Huawei. The system enables 360° comprehensive perception coverage.

- The extended-range versions incorporate CATL's 52kWh Freevoy Super Hybrid battery, delivering a pure-electric range of 356km, and a comprehensive range of 1270km; The battery pack supports 5C charging rates, capable of charging from 30% to 80% in just 10 minutes.

- The Long-range all-electric version enables 755km-range ride.

- The High-performance AWD version boosts 0-100 km/h acceleration of 3.8s.



Refreshed Arcfox Alpha T5


  • Mid-size SUV (Five-Seat)
  • RMB 155,800 – RMB 199,800



On October 28, Arcfox, sub-brand of BAIC, launched its all-new Alpha T5 SUV, offering both pure electric and extended-range powertrain options. The model experiences upgrades in exterior outlook, size, powertrain and configurations.


Key Features:


- The extended-range powertrain option is newly added to the model. It uses a 1.5L extended-range system, incorporated with 200kW driving motor. Its 27.4 kWh battery pack offers 215 pure-electric range.

- All pure-electric versions are built on 800V architecture, applied CATL battery pack. The pure-electric versions has a longest range of 705km. A single charge in 15 minutes will add an extra of 500km to the car.

- For the first time, the model utilize the in-house developed Yuanjing Intelligent Cabin system, with the help of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8775 chip delivering 144 TOPS.

- A bionic binocular vision system supports urban NOA, automated lane changing, traffic light recognition, and valet parking functions.


With unique highlights and premium configurations, the four models are all worth watching, but which one will claim the biggest market share? Time will tell.
