Avatr Unveils Next-Generation Taihang Intelligent Control 2.0
Avatr Technology has officially introduced its Taihang Intelligent Control 2.0, a sophisticated technological suite designed to elevate vehicle performance, safety, and ride quality to new industry benchmarks. This generational leap is anchored by two core pillars: a high-performance distributed electric drive system and an advanced electromagnetic suspension architecture. By merging these hardware components with a cross-domain software fusion, Avatr aims to provide a "bulletproof" driving experience that adapts instantaneously to both driver intent and external environmental threats.
According to Avatr official filings, the system utilizes a high-specification hardware matrix featuring a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspension setup. This is further enhanced by Intelligent Air Suspension and Continuous Damping Control (CDC) dynamic shock absorbers. A standout mechanical feature is the inclusion of hydraulic bushing technology — a rarity in this vehicle segment—which provides significantly higher support force and vibration isolation during sudden maneuvers or high-speed cornering.
The Taihang Intelligent Control 2.0 is scheduled to debut on Avatr's all-new 2026 production models, with the first implementation being the new Avatr 12.
Millisecond Response to Extreme Emergency Scenarios
The true innovation of Taihang 2.0 lies in its ability to handle "extreme edge cases" that typically lead to a loss of vehicle control. The system is engineered to perceive and respond to dangerous situations—such as the "PIT maneuver" (American-style interception) or sudden obstacle avoidance—within milliseconds. By dynamically adjusting the chassis and powertrain parameters simultaneously, the technology drastically reduces the risk of skidding or flipping.
In real-world performance testing, vehicles equipped with Taihang 2.0 have demonstrated remarkable resilience. According to data released by Changan’s R&D division, the system can maintain a stable trajectory even during high-speed tire blowouts. For instance, testing on the Avatr 12 showed the vehicle could maintain a controlled stop at speeds up to 220 km/h following a simulated four-tire burst. This level of active safety is achieved through ultra-fine torque vectoring and real-time damping adjustments that counteract the physical forces pulling the car off-course.
Intelligent All-Terrain Traction and Lateral Correction
Beyond emergency safety, Taihang 2.0 addresses everyday driving challenges on low-friction surfaces. Utilizing the independent dual-motor layout at the rear, the system monitors wheel slip on water, snow, ice, or wet epoxy flooring. If the left wheel loses traction, the right wheel immediately compensates with additional torque, and vice versa. This active lateral correction "pulls" the vehicle back into the correct lane without requiring significant steering input from the driver.
By leveraging the combined strengths of Changan's engineering, Huawei's intelligence, and CATL's battery power, Avatr is positioning itself as a leader in the "Intelligent Chassis" era, offering a level of active stability that rivals or exceeds global luxury competitors.
