Geely Aims 100 UK Stores, 10 Models by 2030 with EX5 Launch

Geely Auto launched its electric SUV EX5 in the UK priced at £32k, building on success across 33 countries and targeting 100 UK stores by 2026 and 100,000 UK sales by 2030.

Geely Auto Launches EX5 Electric SUV in UK Market


Chinese leading automaker Geely Auto held a grand brand launch in the UK, introducing its Global model the EX5 to the UK market.


EX5’s Stellar Global Performance


Priced at £32k, the EX5 is an all-electric SUV, with dimension of 4,615mm long, 1,901mm wide, 1,670mm high, and a 2,750mm wheelbase. The model offers advanced driving assistance systems, luxurious comfort and a sleek exterior design in three trims, the SE, the Pro, and the Max.


Th EX5 is equipped with a 60.22kWh Short Blade Battery, self-developed by Geely. The battery enables 267 mile range on a single charge. It takes 20 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.


The EX5 is a success across the world. Currently, the model is available in 33 countries and regions across Europe, Asia, Oceania, the Middle East and the Americas. Here is the performance of EX5 in multiple markets:

- EX5 secured leading position in its class in Greece during this September.

- EX5 saw continuous sales growth since its Australian launch in March 2025.

- In August, the EX5 was launched in Brazil, and maintained leadership in its class for two consecutive months.



Strategic Plans to Expand in the UK and Europe  


The event is not only a launch event, but also a significant signal of Geely to announce its acceleration on its strategic presence in European market, thus enhancing its global expansion strategy. According to the company, it aims to:


- Establish 100 sales and service stores in the United Kingdom by 2026

- Launch 10 models in the United Kingdom by 2030

- Achieve 100,000-unit sales in the United Kingdom by 2030


Building a Comprehensive Market Ecosystem  


Beyond this, Italy, Germany, France, and Spain are all in the plan. Geely Auto has already set up operations in 12 European countries including Poland, Greece, and Croatia. By leveraging its network of world-class R&D centers and operational channels, the brand is eyeing market entry into Italy, Germany, France, and Spain soon.


By 2030, a total of 15 models will be introduced into European markets and 1,000 sales outlets will be established. Geely’s goal is to become one of the mainstream automotive brands in the European market.
