Denza's 2024 D9 achieved a remarkable milestone with 11,287 firm orders within the first 12 hours of its launch, as revealed on Weibo today.

The updated D9 lineup includes the D9 DM-i, incorporating BYD's hybrid technology, and the all-electric D9 EV. The seven-seat Denza D9 DM-i presents five variants, starting at RMB 339,800 ($47,200), while the seven-seat D9 EV offers three options with a starting price of RMB 379,800.

Notably, the D9 DM-i's latest pricing is RMB 10,000 lower than its predecessor, while the D9 EV's starting price sees a reduction of RMB 16,000.

Additionally, the model introduces a four-seat hybrid variant, the D9 Pioneer, starting at RMB 606,000 for the 2024 model, down from RMB 660,000 for its predecessor.

Denza has disclosed that the 2024 D9 secured an impressive 11,287 firm orders within the initial 12 hours post-launch. In contrast, Li Auto, the maker of Li Mega, has not publicized any order numbers, resulting in an approximately 18 percent dip in its shares since the MPV's introduction.
