Last Friday, BYD launched a grand event for the design of its two brand new models - Han L and Tang L.
According to the event, the Han L and Tang L have not only been substantially upgraded in design, but also brought many highlights in the power system and configuration. The two models will be sold with current Han and Tang models in all Dynasty dealer networks, pricing at the 300,000 yuan market, and will be officially enter the market in March. Let's now take a look at the two models.
Unique Design of Both Models
As an iterative version, the new Han L and Tang L all feature the new "Loong Face aesthetics" design concept, and the front face of the cars is still a semi-enclosed front face shape with inductance, among which Tang L also uses a split headlamp design. In addition, for the taillights, the Han L has a “Phoenix Feather” taillights, inspired by the shape of phoenix’s wings, while Tang L has a “Elegence of Bamboo” taillights, inspired by traditional Chinese knotting crafts.
Han L, though adhering to the C-Class standards, is slightly larger than its predecessor. Tang L is still a mid-to-large SUV with a 7-seat layout.
Superior Powertrain
Both Han L and Tang L adopt the same powertrain on both electric and hybrid variants. The electric version will use BYD’s latest electric motors with 30,000 RPM, boosting 4WD with 810 kW (1,085 hp), with a 0-100km acceleration rate of 2.7 seconds.
While the plug-in variants will utilize BYD’s fifth generation DM technology, whose 1.5T engine achieves the maximum power of 115 kilowatts. The 0-100km acceleration rate is 3.9 seconds.
Enhanced Technology
It is worth mentioning that the new cars are all equipped with panoramic sunroofs and roof lidar, further enhancing the sense of science and technology and practicality of the vehicles. Especially, both models will feature the DiPilot 300 God’s Eye advanced intelligent driving system, which will be a selling spot for both models.
We will share more information for both models once they enters the market, and we believ that BYD will not let you down.
