On October 24, The Ministry of Public Security of China disclosed latest China's motor vehicle inventory figures at a press conference.


As released, by the end of September 2025, China's motor vehicle inventory has reached 460 million units, in which 360 million are cars. China has 550 million licensed drivers.


Globally, the figures of total vehicle volume and incremental growth for motor vehicles and drivers in China rank first in the world, securing China’s position as the world’s largest automotive market.


Against the recent background, Chinese automotive market features a dynamic market vibe including stronger supply-chain, evolving customer demands, fiercer competition as well as a rising competitiveness on export.



With the expanding volume of cars and drivers on Chinese roads, the used-car market is gaining greater opportunities, and able to offer more options for used-car buyers.
