China's Auto Export Value Reaches $11.84 Billion in July  


China exported 694,000 complete vehicles in July, representing a 12.1% month-on-month and 25.6% year-on-year increase, with export value reaching $11.84 billion (up 10.1% MoM, 18.5% YoY), according to General Administration of Customs data compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on September 3, 2025. January-July cumulative exports reached 4.166 million units (19.6% YoY growth), generating US$71.5 billion in export value (9.7% YoY increase).



Leapmotor Completes RMB 2.6 Billion Domestic Share Placement  


Leapmotor has concluded a private placement of domestic shares raising RMB 2.6 billion (≈ USD 361 million). CITIC Securities acted as lead underwriter for the transaction. The placement introduced four state-backed shareholders: Wuyi County

Financial Investment, Jinhua Industrial Fund, Hangzhou Hehe and Huzhou Xinchuang. This infusion strengthens Leapmotor’s financial foundation amid accelerated global expansion and R&D initiatives for electrified and intelligent driving technologies.



Horizon Robotics’ Journey Chips Surpass 10 Million Units in Production  


Recently, Horizon Robotics has shipped over 10 million units of its Journey series automotive AI chips, becoming China’s first autonomous driving technology firm to achieve this milestone. The company collaborates with more than 40 global automakers – including China’s top 10 OEMs – across 400+ vehicle models. The upcoming Journey 6 series, launching in 2025 and based on the new BPU Nash architecture, offers 10-560 TOPS computing power. It remains China’s only scalable solution covering L2 assistance to full-scenario urban autonomous driving requirements.



NIO’s William Li Targets 50,000 Monthly Deliveries in Q4 2025  


NIO Founder and CEO William Li announced during the Q2 2025 earnings call that the ONVO L90 will achieve monthly production capacity of 15,000 units by October, while the new ES8 will reach 10,000 units in October and 15,000 by December. Based on current demand and supply chain capabilities, NIO aims to achieve 50,000 monthly deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2025.
