GAC AION Slashes 10,000 Yuan Off Entire AION S MAX line-up

GAC AION, a Chinese new-energy manufacturer, has cut prices by 10,000 yuan throughout the whole AION S MAX series, during a period of increased price competition among automakers.

On April 17, 2024, GAC AION, a Chinese new-energy vehicle manufacturer, announced a statewide 10,000 yuan discount across its entire AION S MAX car lineup. The move decreased the beginning price to just 139,900 yuan. Furthermore, the company now provides zero-down payment options for buyers of any model in its lineup.

AION S MAX is a compact sedan with enhanced features.

On October 26, 2023, the small sedan AION S MAX went on sale officially. The lineup includes five different trim levels, with costs ranging from 149,900 to 202,900 yuan. Though the AION S MAX's outward design is similar to that of the AION S, it has a longer length and wheelbase, increasing internal space.

Power and Range of the Car

The AION S MAX is fitted with a permanent magnet synchronous motor that works in tandem with a ternary lithium battery. The combo has a maximum range of 610 kilometers under China Light-duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC) standards.

This is not GAC AION's first price reduction for the AION S MAX. On March 5, 2024, the business dropped the price of the AION S MAX Xinghan edition by 23,000 yuan to 179,900 yuan. The purchase also featured a complementary charging pile valued at 4,999 yuan and a 6,000 yuan rebate.
