Zeekr 001 Update Drives Sales Surge Amid Battery Supply Pressure

Last week, the refreshed Zeekr 001 was officially launched with updated features. With a limited-time exchange benefit, the prices range from RMB 259,800 (approximately USD 36,600) to RMB 319,800 (approximately USD 45,000). Four trims are available: 95kWh Max AWD, 103 kWh Max RWD, 103 kWh Ultra AWD, and 103 kWh Ultra+ AWD.

The market response was extraordinary well with firm orders surpassing after the model hitting the market.

Zeekr 001 Refresh Launches with Major Technology Upgrades

As the first mass-produced model of Zeekr brand, Zeekr 001 is always the blockbuster success. It’s tech-savvy outlook and the advanced technology embodied in the car, making it the engine of Zeekr’s sale volume.

The refreshed version updated the following features:

- 900V high-voltage architecture, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in just seven minutes

- The comprehensive output ranges fron 680KW to 503KW through the four trims, making the car to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.98s and 2.83s, respectively.

- All trims are armed with the CCD electromagnetic damping.

- Powered by the Thor-U chip (700 TOPS), the G-Pilot H7 advanced driver-assistance system was shared across or trims as standard feature.

Supply Chain Pressures Pose Delivery Challenges  

Thought the sales continues to climb, the Zeekr’s upply chain is under pressure. The overwhelming demand may challenge battery supply, potentially extending the delivery time for certain trims.

According to the company, the previous-generation ZEEKR 001 was sold out on September 22, the 75-kWh version of the current ZEEKR 7X on October 11. The delivery time is experiencing extension for the 100-kWh battery variants of some models.
