On May 21, 2026, Xpeng Motors announced its first large six-seater flagship SUV, the Xpeng GX, secured 24,863 firm orders within 12 hours of its May 20 launch. Priced at RMB 269,800–349,800 ($39,100–$50,700) after a limited-time discount, this represents a significant reduction from the pre-sale benchmark of RMB 399,800 ($57,900) for the flagship trim. The rapid accumulation of firm orders reflects strong consumer demand for high-end electrified family vehicles that integrate extensive intelligent hardware suites under the 300,000-yuan price threshold.


The XPeng GX measures 5,265 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,115 mm. Inside the cabin, it features NAPPA leather with concealed ambient lighting, a floating center console with wireless charging and lift-up cup holders, a five-screen setup (88-inch HUD, 8.8-inch instrument panel, 17.3-inch center touchscreen, 21.4-inch rear entertainment screen, and 8-inch rear control screen), a 33-speaker SoundScape audio system with independent zones, and six AI-tinting privacy glass panels with 0.16-second response time. Positioned as an "AI New Luxury Large Six-Seater Flagship SUV," the XPeng GX integrates cutting-edge technologies from Robotaxi autonomous driving, flying car structural safety redundancies, and embodied intelligence chips and architecture.


The Xpeng GX serves as the global debut vehicle for the company’s new-generation physical AI technology architecture, designated as SEPA 3.0.


The advanced intelligent computing system is anchored by four proprietary Turing processing units, which deliver a combined computational power of 3,000 TOPS to handle continuous L4-grade automated navigation and environment perception.


The second-generation VLA (Vision-Language-Action) intelligent driving system rolls out version 6.2.0, adding unmanned garage roaming without navigation and full-scenario standstill-to-start capabilities, achieving the leap from "drivable where roads exist" to "drivable even where no roads exist." The pure vision large model delivers full-scenario generalization capability.


Additionally, the native wire-controlled chassis layout works in tandem with an active rear-wheel steering system. This technical configuration allows the full-size SUV to maintain agile handling metrics in congested urban environments while providing data-backed safety redundancies across its primary mechanical and electronic control systems.



Dual-Powertrain Technical Specifications and Efficiency Metrics


To satisfy varied user commuting scenarios, the Xpeng GX is manufactured in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) configurations.


The EREV variant is equipped with a high-efficiency 1.5T dedicated range extender, delivering an industry-leading pure electric range of 430km under localized testing cycles, alongside a total comprehensive cross-country range exceeding 1,585km. This variant aims to address long-distance family travel requirements without encountering charging infrastructure constraints.


The pure electric version is engineered entirely on an 800V high-voltage silicon carbide (SiC) power platform, achieving a maximum CLTC-rated operating range of 750km. Supported by advanced 5C ultra-fast charging technology, the BEV version can replenish 525km range in 12 minutes.


Ride refinement across the entire model family is managed by a standard dual-chamber air suspension setup paired with continuous damping control (CDC) shock absorbers, which dynamically adapts chassis firmness to balance passenger plushness with high-speed handling stability.
