2026 Geely Xingyuan Launches with Limited-Time Price Starting at RMB 65,800  


On October 10, Geely officially released the 2026 Xingyuan, introducing six variants with a limited-time promotional price range of RMB 65,800 to RMB 95,800 (approximately USD 9,300 to USD 13,500). Based on the GEA architecture, the model incorporates Meizu's Flyme Auto infotainment system with voice interaction capabilities. Standard equipment includes six airbags, semi-recessed door handles, dual-power anti-pinch power tailgate, high-frequency physical buttons, 50W air-cooled wireless fast charging, and 540° panoramic imaging with underbody visualization. Power comes from a rear-mounted single electric motor offering two output options: 58 kW and 85 kW. All versions feature CATL battery cells with liquid-cooled temperature management, delivering ranges of 310 km and 410 km respectively.



BYD Produces 14-Millionth NEV at Brazilian Plant  


On October 9, 2025, BYD's 14-millionth new energy vehicle rolled off the production line at its passenger car factory in Camaçari, Bahia, Brazil, making it the world's first automaker to reach this milestone. Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva attended the ceremony and received the commemorative vehicle. BYD has accumulated over 170,000 owners in Brazil, maintaining its position as the local NEV sales leader for two consecutive years. The company plans to provide 30 customized NEVs for the COP30 climate conference, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility in the region.



XPeng Expands European Footprint to Seven New Markets  


XPeng Motors has officially entered five additional European markets: Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Lithuania and Latvia. The company has established an official partnership with Hedin Group for Swiss operations, where it will progressively launch the 2025 XPeng G6 and 2025 XPeng G9, followed by the XPeng P7+ in the first half of 2026. Simultaneously, XPeng confirmed its Austrian market entry scheduled for October 2025. For Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia, operations will be managed by a joint venture formed by AutoWallis Group and Salvador Caetano Group.
