Arcfox Announces Entry into Dominican Market

Arcfox has sold cars to a number of countries and will accelerate its overseas sales and service network this year.

Arcfox, the EV brand of Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group), has announced its entry into the Dominican market to further expand its presence overseas despite its sluggish performance in the domestic market.


In a joint press release on Februray 26, Arcfox entered into cooperation with Qingdao Tang Buy International Import & Export and Sertelsa Solar of the Dominican Republic, to make entrance into the Dominican market.


Arcfox has accelerated its international expansion plans since last year, through vehicle exports and technology exports.


On October 9, 2023, Arcfox said Beijing Electric Vehicle Co (BJEV), the EV-making arm of BAIC Group, signed a letter of intent to collaborate with Turing, a Japanese startup dedicated to mass-producing fully autonomous electric vehicles.


Based on the partnership, Arcfox plans to begin rolling out the the α-S electric sedan to the Japanese market in 2024, according to a press release last October.


On October 10, 2023, Arcfox announced the signing of a partnership agreement with Bin Omeir Holding Group the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to jointly explore the UAE and Saudi markets.


Bin Omeir will procure Arcfox's models, complete Gulf certification, develop a Gulf emergency call system, and perform a high-temperature environment adaptability verification in preparation for the official introduction of Arcfox products.


According to a previous press release, Bin Omeir had confirmed an initial order for 600 Arcfox vehicles and the two companies will explore other future collaborations, including equity partnerships.
