The recent release of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) vehicle model catalogue unveiled the collaboration between Huawei and BAIC BluePark, introducing their inaugural vehicle model named the Xiangjie S9.
Positioned as an electric sedan, the Xiangjie S9 series comprises three models under the Huazhang brand, featuring the emblem "STELATO."
Scheduled to debut at the upcoming Auto China event in April, the Xiangjie S9 marks Huawei's second sedan under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA).
BAIC BluePark's interactive platform announced on February 19th that the Xiangjie S9, developed in partnership with Huawei's Smart Selection program, will launch this year as a premium intelligent sedan.
Expected to be priced higher than the Luxeed S7, the first Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance sedan, the Xiangjie S9's price range is anticipated to be between 249,800 yuan and 349,800 yuan.
Following the design ethos of current HIMA sedans, the S9 resembles an enlarged Luxeed S7, boasting dimensions of 5,160mm in length, 1,987mm in width, and 1,486/1,498mm in height, with a 3,050mm wheelbase.
Offered in two versions, the S9 includes a rear-mounted single-motor variant and a front and rear dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant. The single-motor version delivers a maximum power of 227 kW, while the dual-motor version's front motor offers 158 kW, and the rear motor provides 227 kW.
Equipped with batteries from CATL's subsidiary, Jiangsu Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd., the Xiangjie S9 promises to make a significant impact in the electric sedan market.
