The Tank 700 Hi4-T Limited Edition hit Chinese delivery centers on March 10th, with Great Wall Motors Chairman Wei Jianjun personally presenting keys to new owners. Originally showcased at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show, the limited edition comprised 70 units with a pre-sale price of 700,000 yuan (97,500 USD), all selling out within 55 seconds. GWM later disclosed an annual production capacity of 700 vehicles for the Tank 700 Hi4-T Limited Edition. Sporting a distinctive design with features like a large radiator grille, wide fenders, sporty bumpers, and a rear roof spoiler, the model rides on 275/50 R22 or 275/60 R22 wheels.
Due to strict after-market modification regulations in Mainland China, the Tank 700 Hi4-T Limited Edition's pre-installed body kit is street-legal, contributing to its popularity. As part of GWM’s off-road-centric SUV lineup, including the Tank 500, Tank 400, and Tank 300, the Tank 700 is the largest model with dimensions measuring 5096/2060/1952 mm.
Both the limited and regular versions share a 3.0T V6 twin-turbocharged engine producing 360 horsepower, an electric motor, and a 9HAT transmission. The combined power output reaches 517 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. With a top speed of 190 km/h and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds, the SUV features a real-time four-wheel-drive system and can tow up to 2,500 kg.
Inside, the Tank 700 Hi4-T boasts a luxurious cabin with soft-touch materials, dual large-size floating LCD screens, a heads-up display (HUD), a suede leather roof, dual 50W mobile phone wireless charging, electric massage seats for all passengers, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
The base model of the Tank 700 Hi4-T starts at 428,000 yuan (59,600 USD), maintaining the styling of the limited edition with variations such as a trapezoidal front grille, angular headlights, and 22-inch multi-spoke rims.
